September 2010 - 5 day Asperger Training

Another outstanding training was delivered to staff, carers and parents in Hertfordshire. Feedback from the five days continued to be excellent to good, with a higher percentage than usual asking for the course to be longer.

The continued success of the training has encouraged Hertfordshire County Council to find funding for a course on 15th-19th November and it is anticipated that there will be further courses in 2011; especially in light of the Autism Strategy.

Partners in Health, social care and the private and voluntary sector continue to demand the training.   As soon as course details are announced, bookings come in fast and available places are often filled within the first few weeks.

The work that Prime Performance Solutions undertakes with Hertfordshire will become part of the Autism Strategy’s remit.  This will enable us to have a sophisticated workforce as the Strategy begins to develop in to a ‘work in practice’.

Ninety six per cent of the candidates from the September course have opted to undertake the ‘Diploma’ as part of their ongoing personal and professional development.
